Kate Zimmerman, Executive Director

Kate Zimmerman was hired as Executive Director for Leadership Lancaster in Summer 2017 after serving as the organization's Program Director for 5 years. Prior to her roles with Leadership Lancaster, Kate worked as Director of Community Relations for Lancaster Area Habitat for Humanity and in government relations in Washington DC.

Kate is herself a 2009 graduate of Leadership Lancaster, a graduate of Project Blueprint, and is certified in Fundraising from the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University's Fundraising School. She holds a BA in Political Science from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Growing and learning with her two amazing children is Kate's greatest accomplishment. In addition to volunteering for their activities, Kate is a member of the Lancaster Chamber's Community Advisory Council, on the Board of the Manheim Township Educational Foundation, on WITF's Community Advisory Board, on the Bench Mark Program Development Committee, is a member of the Steering Committee for the Coalition for Sustainable Housing (C4SH), a volunteer with the Lancaster County Community Foundation, was a founding member of 100 Women Who Care Lancaster, and has served as a Girls on the Run Coach.


Erin Sell, Program Director

Erin Sell is a graduate of the Core Class of 2016. She joined the staff of Leadership Lancaster in the Fall of 2017. She previously worked at Burrowes Elementary School as a Community School Director, scaling up their community school model through community partnerships, family engagement, and neighborhood collaboration. Prior to working at Communities In Schools, she ran after-school programming, worked as a housing case manager, and has been an active participant in community volunteer work throughout Lancaster City. Her past volunteer work has included coaching for Girls on the Run, serving on the board of Arch Street Center, road race coordination, and many more neighborhood engagement activities. Erin currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster. Additionally, she serves on the board as a parent representative at Open Arms Christian Child Care Center. Erin also serves on the Young Professional Network Commitee through the Lancaster Chamber.

Erin resides in Downtown Lancaster with her husband, Doug, and their one year old daughter, Alice. She spends her free time painting, training for her next running race, expanding her back yard urban garden, embracing her inner "foodie" by discovering new restaurants in Lancaster City, and volunteering her time in any way she can to better her community.
